The Town of Sussex is nestled in the heart of the Kennebecasis River Valley, surrounded by rolling hills of farmland and forest. The small downtown core is a central gathering place for residents from our own community and for those from the larger rural population that surrounds us. Sussex hosts a number of events each year that give us reason to boast, as we become host to tens of thousands of visitors to things like the Atlantic Balloon Fiesta, the Giant Flea Market, Sussex Summer Fest, and Horse and Livestock shows in the best facilities in the East. Other easily accessed activities in or near Sussex include skiing, curling, trails for walking, hiking, biking or riding, kayaking, mural tours , baseball, tennis, hockey and more!

 Our heritage is Loyalist based, with farming, logging and mining as industries that have shaped our community. With a population just over 4000, we have excellent schools all centrally located, and a huge proportion of green space within our town limits.
